This week, we’ll be adding two new products to the shop – teething necklaces and teething rings. The rings will be available untreated or sealed with a natural, locally-sourced beeswax and olive oil sealer.
Remember those pesky little 1/2″ by 5″ strips left over from my coasters a little while back? Here’s what they are being turned into… new fabric bowls! 5″ pieces are a little bit short for my taste for this type of project, but I’m a stickler for using up little scraps! You can expect to see this in the shop in the next few days.
Yes, yes, yes… even more coasters are on the way… Lately, I’ve really enjoyed stitching at dusk. It’s just so peaceful, and gives me some time to think about my day. I’ve been spending a lot of time planning for the arrival of our first baby (yes, a baby!!), and stitching coasters gives me a mental break.
Since we opened our business back in 2014, our quilted coaster sets have consistently been in our top 3 sales items per quarter. After moving twice this summer, my husband and I were finally able to get my sewing studio up and running in the new house, and I’m furiously back to work making coasters again. I even have a plan for those little 1/2 inch by 5 inch strips I’ve trimmed off of each coaster… More soon!
It’s been raining a lot in Northern VT this week… Although I love a good excuse to stay inside and work at my machine, it’s just too dark out today! So I grabbed some of my brightest fabric strips and decided to create some of my own sunshine.
I’ve been working on coasters for days, and I’m taking a little break to add them to the shop, along with some bowls I made this morning.

I seem to be in a green rut when you look at this picture, but really, I have all sorts of colored coasters in the works – I just work one color at a time.
